Yesteryear Collection

In 1953, Corvette burst upon the automotive scene, bringing unbridled excitement to America's highways. Forty years later, it could be proud of a legacy of engineering and technological innovation, state-of-the-art design, as well as a continuing spirit of open-road freedom and style!

In 1993, Corvette issued a Special 40th Anniversary Edition - the Corvette ZR-1. With a LT5 V-8 engine that provided an incredible 405 horsepower, the ZR-1 was the fastest production Corvette ever built. The 349 cubic inch LT5 engine was capable of a top speed over 180 mph and it could accelerate from 0 to 60 in 5.2 seconds. Yet, this Anniversary Edition was not just a power plant on wheels. It was a vehicle of untold luxury. Full leather interior, six-way adjustable bucket seats and a wealth of fine appointments made this Corvette a dream to sit in. The plushness and comfort of the ZR-1's ride was enhanced by the four wheel independent suspension. Sitting in the Corvette, one might forget the imposing engine roaring under the hood. The Corvette 40th Anniversary Edition ZR-1 was a fond celebration of the past and an exciting optimistic preview of things to come for Corvette!
